Wedding
Darren and Suet were officially together on November 2005. Two very different yet similar persons, met through work during their undergraduate days. Sparks flew during a team chalet, where one group of friends were busy playing mahjong, and another group busy puking from the huge intake of alcohol and another group busy trying to get some sleep. So amid the chaos, Darren and Suet decided to go for a midnight cycle in the slightly drizzling night at Pasir Ris Park. They ventured to the peak of the pyramid spiderweb playground and chatted about many things under the stars. When dawn approached, they cycled towards Fisherman’s Village to witness the first sunrise of their lifes. A beginning of a brand new day indeed.
Through the short 3 years which passed, they faced lots of misunderstandings and miscommunication as a result of their similar yet different values and mindsets. A lot of effort were needed to align two individuals together, because its only when they can see what each other is looking at, that they can progress forward together.
Darren proposed to Suet on the early morning of 7th June 2008, at the same place where their story first started and at almost the same time. Now they are in the midst of planning for the next phase of their lives, the ceremonies and formalities which will lead them into the next phase. But they do believe that a lot more effort is needed thereafter by these two special individuals to make their fairy tale become a reality.
