Robert Frost

I was at a UOB atm today. Upon completing my transactions, I was presented with some words of wisdom:

In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.
~ Robert Frost

So simple and true. There’s a time for everything. And everything that comes to happen will come to a pass. Therefore, life goes on. Some people choose to wallow in self pity, immerse themselves in depressing thoughts, drown themselves in anger; they’ve probably failed to notice that life around them goes on even if they continue to feel that way.

Not sure why, I googled on him. He is a poet and lecturer. Some of his famous quotes are funny yet make quite a lot of sense. Simple wisdom. His life is pretty sad actually. Perhaps only the most adverse of conditions can inspire great depths of expression which lingers and touches life.

I loved poetry. Wrote a little poems through my growing pains. But I guess I could never write with the same words and emotions ever again. Lost innocence cannot be recovered, can it? Not like I want to anyway. :)

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
